The guy in the first shot is Henry at 86 years old, a great guy and proud with his Chevrolet Caprise Classic. I was glad that the photo was taken without further harm to Henry. All across the countryside, you occasionally come All across the countryside, you occasionally come across abandoned houses with old cars — silent witnesses of another time. In this case, the owner was taken to the hospital and, sadly, never returned. The Oldsmobile’s last registration expired in December 1992. Since then, it has remained here, exposed to the elements. Last year, the sunroof cracked — and the decay is now progressing even faster.
