Pendine Sands Hot Rod Races
Salt, gasoline, and adrenaline are in the air shortly before eleven o’clock on the Pendine Sands beach in South Wales. It’s June 24, 2017, the start of the fourth two-day race put on by the Vintage Hot Rod Association. Night of the Troglodytes
With typical Vegas-style neon signs on the motels and restaurants straight out of the 1950s, Wildwood is the perfect spot for such match-ups of historic racing cars and motorcycles at TROG race. Motel after motel lines the four miles stretch called Atlantic Avenue. The Surfcomber Motel hosted a pre-race Night of the Troglodytes party the night before as the racers’ cars and motorcycles lined the streets to the delight of the many visitors. Continue Reading..
